Mission Statement

Intermed International, Inc. / DBA Dooley Intermed International is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-sectarian, non-political, private voluntary organization receiving its financial support from private contributions. The purpose of the organization is to provide medical assistance to refugees, children, and villagers in the less privileged parts of the world with emphasis on self-help projects in the areas of preventive medicine, public health, and health worker training. 

Intermed International, Inc. is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501c(3) tax-exempt organization and is a registered Exempt Organization with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.  Intermed International is accredited by the Committee of Volunteer Foreign Aid of the Agency for International Development of the U.S. State Department.

Background:

The Thomas A. Dooley Foundation was founded and incorporated in the State of California in 1961, and subsequently relocated to the State of New York in 1986. In 2001 the legal name of the organization was officially changed to Intermed International, Inc.  The DBA Dooley Foundation was established in 2004 in the State of New York. The DBA Dooley Intermed International was established in 2013 in the State of New York.

Intermed International, Inc. does not sell or trade our donor names or emails with any other organization. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your information. We recognize that privacy is of utmost importance, and operate our organization with protecting your sensitive personal information in mind. 

Financial information collected by Dooley Intermed is used only to process your donation, and is not kept for future use. 

INFORMATION SECURITY: Dooley Intermed International has a layered security in our systems and only designated employees have access to hard copies of your personal information. All online transactions are done on a secure server. This means that information entered on the transaction page is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) before transmission. On secure pages, the website address in the address bar at the top of the browser screen starts with an “https” instead of an “http”.
